The case of Rachel Fulstow has received renewed national attention following an in-depth article in the Daily Mail.
Fulstow is serving a life sentence with a minimum term of 30 years after being convicted in 2023 under the law of joint enterprise. Michael Hillier carried out the fatal attack while Fulstow was at her home in York, around 100 miles away.
Her conviction is now the subject of a renewed challenge, with her legal team arguing that evidence concerning coercive and controlling behaviour within her relationship with Michael Hillier was not fully heard by the jury.
